A few weeks ago, we got a call from a client in need of a large outdoor vinyl banner printing solution. The outdoor banners needed to be durable enough to withstand the harsh -25 degree weather conditions of Fairbanks, Alaska. Furthermore, they needed the large outdoor vinyl banners to be printed and delivered in less than two weeks time.

Needless to say, the client was thrilled with their finished signs. To show their appreciation they snapped the above photo of our handy work in action.
Early on in the process the client sent us their design concept a long with all the all the necessary logo elements for the signs. Our pre-press department then went to work and created some print-ready files matching the client’s exact specifications. Once the design was approved by the client, we scheduled the job for printing.
We Offer a State-of-the-Art Large Format Printing Facility
The dimension of one large outdoor banner came in at 272” X 62, and the other would be slightly larger at 272” X 71”. That seems pretty big, but our state of the art large format printing facility is fully equipped to handle a variety of large scale projects so we weren’t concerned with the size.
Making Sure the Large Outdoor Vinyl Banners Could Hold Their Own
The final signs were double sided and printed on 18 oz. scrim vinyl. To ensure that the large outdoor vinyl banners could hold their own against the rigid Alaska winds, we went the extra mile and installed some heavy duty grommets and swivel snaps along the edges.
